O God, Am I Ready?
O God, am I ready? What could prepare me for this?
How can I be ready to leave and start my own life on my own.
What will happen Lord? I'm not strong enough to handle this.
What if I leave Your presence Lord? What if I stray from You, O God?
Look back, my son, I was with you then, and I will still be with you.
I am here, trust in Me. Trust only in Me.
My son, you are ready. For I your Lord God have been preparing you.
I knew of this moment even before I laid the foundations of the world.
My God, how can I know, how can I be sure of this?
I have strayed before, and that in the company of my family.
Now they are not there as before. Oh, what can I fall back on, now?
Who is to encourage me; and who is the one in whom I am accountable to?
Son, I have adopted you. I have predestined you since before the world.
Your family will always be available for you. For I hear of you often in their prayers.
I am always a father to you. You are my child. You must learn to fall back on me.
You will learn to follow in My example. I will never give you up nor will I turn My back.
What will happen to me? What are the choices before me? Who will enter my life?
God, I am most uncertain. What of marriage, family, and growing old?
What am I to do? I am out from under my father's protecting umbrella.
I now enter Satan's domain alone and most vulnerable.
My son, I am the keeper of the light. I hold in my hand a flashlight.
I could use a floodlight; but I faithfully and diligently hold this flashlight for you.
I shine this light at your feet and allow you to take one step at a time.
I want you to follow one step at a time and let me take care of problems in front of you.
My God, my Lord and Savior, I do want to follow you and I will follow you.
I need help, Father, and lots of it. Be beside me all the way.
Break me, separate me from this world. Mold me into a servant, your servant.
God, I need You. I need You all of the time. Not only now but for the rest of my life.
I've been right by your side for nineteen years. I will not leave you now, My beloved child.
Obey My will and be diligent to My promptings. Serve Me and only Me.
My son, I am here for you in heaven. I have commissioned many saints to encourage you.
These saints continually lift up your name before Me in prayer. Take heart, I walk with you.
